The Red Devils are missing a number of players including Wayne Rooney who missed the trip to Stoke, which will make it difficult for Sir Alex Ferguson to rest many of his starting Premier League XI.
BASEL
Sommer
Steinhofer, Kovac, Dragovic, Voser
Shaqiri, Yapo, Tembo, Zoua
Frei, Streller
The Swiss side have a relatively full squad to choose from but will be without central midfielder Benjamin Huggel who was sent off in the win over Otelul Galati. Former West Ham defender Radoslav Kovac is expected to start.
Manchester United continue to roll and come into their next match against Basel with a perfect record in the Champions League.
The Red Devils are a dangerous team that seems to be hitting their stride. They have a perfect combination of talented youth and veteran presence that is making them incredibly difficult to stop.
While Basel have the pieces and players in position to compete, the fact of the matter is that they are going to struggle to even compete with this rolling United Club.
United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has been pushing all the correct buttons so far, but he's going to have to keep his club focused and determined as they head into this matchup.
It may be easy to sleep on Basel, but counting them out completely would be foolish.
